High quality nursing care is provided 24 hours per day under the supervision and direction of the Hoe Manager. A team of registered nurse and highly trained carers carry out all of the procedures as necessary for the maintenance and improvement of health. The majority of service users are registered with a local GP practice for medical services but all service users have the choiceof staying with their current GP if it is appropriate to do so. Services such as optician, chiropodist and dentist can be arranged for all service users as necessary. Admission to Uplands in no way compromises your right to hospital treatment. Service users are encouraged to partake of all activities within the home but have the right to decline.
